You can now take the Self-Confrontation course via on-line video at your own pace and at a time that is convenient for you. This is a great option for people who don’t have access to the class in their church, who live in a remote area, or whose schedule is such that a live, on-line class in the evening is not feasible. The on-line videos were recorded from a live on-line Self-Confrontation class given by BCF teachers several years ago. Each lesson is typically one hour and 45 minutes long. You can pause the video in the middle and come back to it at a later time if necessary.
Once you register, you will be given a link to the videos and a password. You will have 8 months to complete the 24 lessons. The 24 lessons would take 6 months if they were done weekly, so 8 weeks is usually enough buffer to allow for times off, schedule conflicts, etc. It is possible that the password could change sometime during your allotted viewing period, but you will get an email alert if this is the case. It is highly recommended that you complete the homework if you wish to take any of BCF’s more advanced courses. If you wish to obtain credit or acknowledgement that you completed the course, you will need to turn in the homework. Instructions for submitting the homework are provided below.
The At-Your-Own-Pace course is basically the same study as you would get from going through the Self-Confrontation manual as guided by the Student Workbook, and both books are required as class texts. As an alternative, most summers we offer an option called “BCF Summer School,” where you can just take Lessons 1-12 or 13-24 on-line. That way you could take the entire class over two summers.

If you would like to take the on-line Self-Confrontation course as a small group, the person who is arranging the class (the facilitator) should contact BCF by email or phone to provide the names of the group members and order the materials. At least two weeks should be allowed for materials to be shipped prior to the course start date. Each group member will need their own materials. The links to the lessons will be sent to the person registering as the facilitator.
The facilitator will log onto the video for the group to view each lesson. The lesson links are to be kept only by the facilitator.
The time period to take the course by group is 8 months, similar to a single registration. During the period of the class, the password to use in viewing the lessons may be changed by BCF, and the facilitator should be alert to emails from BCF so that the class will not be impacted. If one of the classes cannot be completed in a single session because of time, the video will pick up where you left off.
The current group registration fee is $100 for a total of up to 20 students.
If any of the students wish to obtain credit for the course, please send their name,
postal address, and email address to BCF. The group leader should also confirm that these students attended the course consistently.
Whether taking the course individually or as a group, completing the homework is highly recommended if you wish to go on to the next level of courses taught through BCF. The homework consists simply of filling in the answers to the questions in the Student Workbook. Completing the homework will help you to not only study more thoroughly but also apply the Scriptures to everyday life.
Here are some instructions to make the homework as easy to complete as possible.
An application-focused part of the homework is to use the “Victory Over Failures Plan” (VOFP) to work on a problem area you identified for your own life. Lesson 5 of the Student Workbook explains this, and the various worksheets from the VOFP are included in the Workbook. This is optional, and would not be turned in to anyone, but is just between you and the Lord. However, applying the VOFP yourself will be beneficial to your walk with Christ and helpful when the opportunity may come to help a friend or family member with a problem they are having. For any questions on the homework or about the lessons themselves, you can email us at questions@bcfministries.org.
The bundle enables you to study the Self-Confrontation course on your own. The Self-Confrontation manual is the reference book for the course while the Student Workbook leads you through key Scripture passages and points you to relevant portions of the Self-Confrontation manual.
The Victory Over Failures Plan is a tool developed to help you overcome any difficulty of life with the full expectation of complete and lasting victory. This booklet is a companion to the Self-Confrontation manual. It can be used independently from the Self-Confrontation Course but is best understood and applied along with the course.
The Biblical Principles booklet contains all of the 105 biblical principles from the Self-Confrontation manual as well as 32 principles from the Handbook for Biblical Discipleship / Counseling available in one package.
