The goal of courses after Self-Confrontation is not to develop professional counselors, but to equip believers who are able to disciple/counsel others in a variety of settings. Christians must be prepared to provide biblical discipleship to others within the local church, family, work, friendships, and other relationships in either organized training ministries or informal settings.
All of the Level 2 materials use the Handbook for the Ministry of Biblical Discipleship / Counseling and the Self-Confrontation manual as references because both of those books provide extensive biblical foundations for each topic covered.
The courses that come after Self‐Confrontation (Levels 2-4) require student involvement in role‐plays and must be completed in a classroom setting under the supervision of a BCF‐trained instructor. The materials, as they are written, are only outlines, and do not contain the whole content of the courses.
Ordering the material and attempting to do the role‐plays without proper training would be like trying to learn how to swim without a swimming pool.
The Level 2 Syllabus is a set of lesson plans for the student attending the second BCF training course in biblical discipleship / counseling.
