Buts of the Bible
Biblical Characters and the Crossroads of Life,
New Testament

Study Booklet 2

Quick overview
The Buts of the Bible series is a personal or small-group study of both Old and New Testament characters. The study is in workbook format with Scripture passages to read and questions to answer. Each lesson focuses on one character (or group of characters). Rather than looking at their entire lives, this study focuses on particular events or “crossroads” in their lives to direct us toward practical application in our lives today.

Contents of the study

Study Booklet 2 focuses on New Testament characters, looking at their circumstances, struggles, temptations, spiritual defeats and victories. As you study these characters, you will see that the word translated “but” (or another word with similar meaning) often represents a turning point or decision point in their lives; and you will see how lessons from these characters are remarkably relevant to our lives here in the 21st century.
