It is organized into a 7-week study. Based completely on Scriptures, it is a practical look at everyday problems – their purpose in our lives, how we can overcome them and walk daily in victory in the midst of trials in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Instructions for the leader are inserted on the left side, opposite the corresponding Living Victouriously booklet page. Answers to the fill-in-the-blank questions are also provided on the appropriate pages.
There are three teaching format options:
Option 1 – Study together, pargraph by paragraph
Option 2 – Students do the lesson as homework first, then you cover key points at the group meeting.
Option 3 – Watch a Lesson Overview Video at each meeting first, then students do lesson as homework

This course will cover the following topics:
• Understanding tests, temptations, and problems biblically
• The biblical view of “self”
• Biblical hope
• Biblical change: dealing with problems God’s way
• Biblical practice: our daily walk with Christ
• Biblical discipleship: coming alongside others
Believers need to see how to have victory in the midst of problems with relationships, temptations to fear and worry, depression, life-dominating habit patterns and so on.
Living victoriously in the midst of life’s challenges is only possible with the resources that the Lord has provided to us as believers in the empowering of the Holy Spirit. This course will help you learn what those resources are, and provides the basic biblical principles for victory, and then how to apply them in overcoming the daily problems of life.
Finally, this training will help you know how to encourage others to do the same.
The subtitle of the Living Victoriously booklet is “the basics of biblical discipleship.” It can be a wonderful study for new believers or for learning the basics of how to deal with problems and relationships God’s way. The booklet can be used in a study-on-your-own format, one-on-one discipleship, or even family devotions. The 6 lessons are listed in the Overview. Each lesson has scripture references to look up, fill-in-the-blank questions to answer, focusing on what the scripture references say, and thought-provoking application questions. It is also a great introduction to the more in-depth teaching in the Self-Confrontation manual.
Living Victoriously also works well in small groups, for both home Bible studies and Sunday School classes. Everyone can participate by reading sections of the booklet, looking up the scriptures, and answering the questions, all focused on becoming more conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29) and being enable to live victoriously even when times are difficult. The Leader’s Guide comes with a series of short videos summarizing each lesson and video segments that expand on important topics. A downloadable sample lesson will give you an idea of what the typical format looks like. See it below where it says “Read Sample”.

The What God’s Word Says about Prayer booklet is an in‐depth study about prayer adapted and expanded from the Self-Confrontation manual, Lesson 3. It is an even more in-depth study about a set of astonishing truths: that God speaks to us through His Word and that He gives us the ability and privilege to speak to Him in return.
We offer various booklets which are convenient and portable ways to study God’s Word. Most of the booklets are topical, and great for short studies.
